Canoe Kayak Trader are hosting a freestyle competition at the Nene Whitewater Centre. The Competition will be held in Pool A "The Pour-over". We will also be trying to organise a novices competition in Pool C.

The Competition is being held on the 13th November and will begin at 4:30pm, it will be free to enter you will just have to pay Nene Course Fees. There will be Adult, Junior and Novice classes, with placing paddlers recieving prizes.

The Winner of the Adult and Junior Classes will be offered sponsorship from Canoe Kayak Trader for 2012. There will also be a mass start BoaterX starting at around 6:30. (Playboats only)

We will be running a freestyle workshop at 3pm ran by Team Square Rock Chris Chapman, this is ideal for whitewater paddlers looking to get into freestyle, there is a small cost for this of £5pp, limited spaces so please book by email us.

Adults Intro to Kayak Courses & River Wye Trip

Sea Kayak Weekend – Anglesey

Sundays 10am to 12noon.
Sept 11th, 18th, 25th, Oct 2nd, Oct 9th River Day Trip
This course is the perfect introduction to kayak sport, learning the basic boat and paddle skills. You can complete your BCU 1* award, and try out a range of different types of kayaks. We end it with a scenic day trip on the River Wye finishing at Symonds Yat.
£149 full course, £69 river trip only.

Oct 22nd & 23rd.
An introduction to sea kayaking skills against the rugged backdrop of Angleseys coastline. We start each day with the theory of planning sea trips, looking at tide & weather & then we go & paddle 2 different sections of coastline. Suitable for anyone who has done some previous paddling & can do a capsize drill comfortably. Lots of marine life & varied coastline to explore!

3* Canoe Weekend - North Wales

Intro Whitewater Weekend - North Wales

Nov 19th & 20th
Hone your skills on open water and white water! We will also look at various rescue skills relevant to those environments. By the end of the weekend, you will have the skills and confidence to get out and have fun on grade 1 and 2 rivers, and open water, and if you are ready then a 3* certificate too.

Nov 19th & 20th
An introduction to running beginner white water on some of the classic Welsh rivers. Covers all the introductory moving water skills on 2 different river trips. Suitable for someone who has enjoyed paddling on basic moving water before (e.g. Symonds Yat, the Nene).
