This weekend can be either training or assessment - if you have the relevent previous experience then you can be assessed throughout the weekend, if not then come and enjoy a weekend packed with training!
The first day of this course will usually be at an open water venue. We will concentrate on honing your flat water skills, and look at paddling on open water, and in wind. On the second day we will transfer what you have learned to the moving water environment.
By the end of the weekend, you will have the skills and confidence to get out and have fun on grade 1 and 2 rivers, and open water. We will also look at various rescue skills relevant to those environments.
This course is non-residential. We usually meet on Saturday morning, and stay in a Youth hostel or bunk house Saturday night, so you are welcome to join us if you like, or to make your own arrangements if you'd prefer.
Cost:
£139 if you have your own boat and kit
£159 if you'd like to use one of our boats
